There’s almost nothing worse than a stamp career using a repetitive sample. Repetition when stamping with ashlar slate or flagstone mats can be a dead giveaway that this isn’t the actual deal. Stay away from repeating patterns by thoroughly inserting the mats at random—do not repeat exactly the same sequence (i.e. pink, yellow, blue, crimson,
